QA Auditor Consult

Job Summary
Directs, plans, performs, reports, and follows up on independent quality oversight at nuclear facilities. Develops oversight plans and checklists, interviews personnel, and observes activities while reviewing documentation. Initiates deficiency documentation, evaluates corrective action responses, and verifies adequacy of fixes. Prepares oversight activity reports and participates in pre- and post-oversight conferences. Requires 10 years of technical experience in operations, engineering, or maintenance at a nuclear facility. Qualify as Audit Team Leader and hold current or previous RO/SRO licenses. Accept outage and ERO positions with twenty-four-hour callouts and hybrid/remote work.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent
- 10 years of technical experience in Operations, Operations Support, Engineering, Maintenance, manufacturing or construction at a nuclear facility
- Ability to understand and apply detailed technical concepts, standards, procedures, and methodologies
- Qualify as Audit Team Leader
- Accept Outage position
- Accept ERO position and be able to meet the response requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access if needed
- Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position
- Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ascending/descending stairs
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Spending considerable time in front of computer monitors
- Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed
- Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week
- Travel may be required
- May be required to carry a phone
- Hybrid/Remote work schedule between Site and an alternate work location
- Alternate work locations require adequate technology and a solid ergonomic setup is present
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or related Bachelor of Science
- Without the above degree, 6 years of technical (Operations, Operations Support, Engineering, Maintenance, manufacturing or construction) experience/training
- 10 years of STP Operations, Operations Support, Engineering, Maintenance, manufacturing or construction experience
- Current or Prev RO License
- Current or Prev SRO License
- Quality Lead Auditor
