Job Summary
Create and run automated test scripts to verify new software features against user story acceptance tests. Design, develop, and maintain the automation framework while writing test plans and executing thorough product testing before release. Prepare for testing activities by installing software, maintaining databases with appropriate test data, and performing manual smoke and exploratory tests. Log software bugs with recreation steps, verify resolutions, and track testing results and metrics using bug tracking tools. Participate in sprint and release planning, define tasks, and provide estimates to meet release goals. Investigate and troubleshoot issues identified by clients or services teams, resolving problems caused by bad data or improper configuration.
Required Qualifications
- Strong software testing, preferably in commercial software
- Good knowledge of software development lifecycle and software quality assurance
- Experience creating test plans and test cases or scripts
- Experience managing the bug lifecycle and proficient in at least one bug tracking tool
- Experience working with an Agile software development process
- Experience working with SQL and databases
- Demonstrated ability to work well with business analysts, developers, and end users in a cross functional team
- Undergraduate degree
- Proficient in at least one test automation tool, such as Cypress or Selenium
- Experience creating scripts for automated testing
- Experience with API testing using Postman, Newman, GraphQL
- Strong collaboration and verbal and written communication skills
- Able to be a self-starter, detail-oriented, organized, and thorough
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented mindset
- Able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks well with little supervision
- Flexible in working under changing and different work settings
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, lift and carry under 30 lbs., and perceive depth
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops, and/or Test Manager
