Job Summary
QA Analyst responsible for manual testing with a focus on functional, integration and regression testing in the Cross Border Payments domain, with exposure to automation frameworks and object-oriented programming. Must design and maintain QA artifacts (test strategies, plans, matrices, scenarios, cases, results), perform end-to-end and backend validation via SQL queries and API responses, validate logs, and document defects in Jira. Requires collaboration with developers and support teams, 5 days in Chennai office, and ongoing expansion of automation coverage. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of backend systems, data flows, and test automation practices are required. Location-based note: office in Chennai, India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing complex applications and integrations
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes
- Experience testing REST / SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman or similar tools
- Ability to execute SQL queries to validate data and investigate issues at the database level
- Understanding of database concepts, including tables, relationships, and stored procedures
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and automated testing practices
- Experience using test management and issue tracking tools such as TestRail and Jira
- Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment tools such as Bitbucket, Octopus, or similar platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly document defects, test results, and testing progress
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams
