Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment bank Equities team drives technical guidance and direction, leads greenfield initiatives (e.g., transforming loan-related documentation storage with AI-enabled analytics), collaborates with stakeholders across global teams to deliver world-class loan management platforms, contributes to re-architecting platforms for performance and reliability, leads solution design discussions around new technologies, provides leadership and mentorship to teams worldwide, and actively contributes to firmwide SDLC frameworks and engineering culture focused on diversity and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering
- Education to degree level in computer science, mathematics or engineering or equivalent experience
- Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language (Python and React mentioned)
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and system integration
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with delivering scalable, secure, and reliable software in a distributed environment
