Job Summary
Conduct firmware and product functional testing activities for industrial automation systems within an iterative Agile environment. Design and implement automated functional tests in CI/CD environments using Python, focusing on test automation requirements analysis. Apply object-oriented design methods to develop test automation systems, leveraging knowledge of motion control systems and industrial power conversion equipment. Utilize Ethernet networking protocols and Continuous Integration tools like TeamCity or Jenkins to support large project teams. Maintain strong communication skills for effective collaboration across the engineering group.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- At least 4 years of experience in developing test automation system, preferable in Python
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Very good command of English
- Experience with motion control systems and/or industrial automation products and environments
- General understanding of 230-480VAC industrial power conversion equipment
- Experience applying object-oriented design methods, preferable using Python
- Experience in design and implementation of automated functional tests in CI/CD environment
- Knowledge of Ethernet networking (TCP/IP, TLS, DTLS)
- Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment and tools like TeamCity or Jenkins
- Understanding of model design techniques such as UML
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
