Job Summary
Python Developer to build and scale APIs, web services, and internal systems powering Global Player and public-facing radio websites. Role emphasizes hands-on development in Python, RESTful API design, and collaboration within a cross-functional team. Bonus points for experience with Django, Sanic or Litestar, GraphQL, asyncio, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, and search technologies (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch). You’ll contribute to delivering scalable digital products accessed by millions of users, participate in code reviews and CI processes, and work in a sociable team environment focused on best practices, testing, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Strong commercial development experience using Python
- Strong grasp of OOP fundamentals and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with VCS, preferably Git
- Experience with relational database systems and ORM frameworks
- Experience with testing – unit tests; mocking frameworks; test-driven development
- Experience with Docker in development
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (preferred)
- Experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch or similar Lucene-based search servers (preferred)
