Python Analytics & Technology Engineer – Equities

Job Summary

Develop and enhance analytics applications using Python and SQL to build automated data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting solutions. Implement production-grade monitoring, logging, testing, and performance optimization while maintaining code repositories and deployment processes. Deliver management information, operational reports, and ad-hoc analysis to support business decision-making, ensuring data reconciliation and quality controls across multiple internal platforms. Coordinate testing activities including UAT and regression testing, gather business requirements, and partner with technology teams to onboard new data sources and APIs. Support strategic technology initiatives and system integrations within a specialist analytics function focused on equities solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong Python development (pandas, data engineering workflows, automated scripts, APIs)
  • Advanced SQL (schema design, query optimisation, stored procedures)
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in a production environment (CI/CD, job schedulers, monitoring)
  • Ability to design robust ETL processes and ensure data integrity
  • Understanding of OTC Equity Derivatives
  • Working understanding of RWA, TCE, and capital usage concepts
  • Strong experience producing management and operational reports
  • Ability to create quick, flexible, precise reporting outputs for internal use
  • High attention to data accuracy and control
  • Experience working with technology teams on system enhancements, integrations, or migrations
  • Ability to write clear requirements, test functionality, and track issues
  • Comfortable with iterative development and changing priorities
