Job Summary
Mid-level Python AI Agent Engineer to help build the agent infrastructure powering an AI-enabled engineering platform. You’ll develop agents and MCP connectors, contribute to the programmatic code-first system architecture, and integrate AI capabilities with engineering tools (e.g., GitLab, data sources). You’ll implement prompt engineering patterns, ensure secure multi-system integration with authentication/authorization, and write high-quality code with TDD and living documentation. You’ll work closely with tech leads and principal engineers to grow skills, participate in code reviews, and help architect a scalable system used by thousands of engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Backend development experience
- Proficient with Python or similar languages
- APIs: RESTful design, HTTP, JSON, authentication (OAuth, JWT)
- Data handling with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Testing: unit and basic integration testing
- Git and CI/CD familiarity
- Experience collaborating in teams with code reviews
- Interest in AI, agentic systems, and prompt engineering
