Job Summary
Pyrotechnic Technician role performing safety-compliant setup, installation, and operation of pyrotechnic devices for events across Kansas. Responsibilities include following display scripts and cues to synchronize with music or choreography, maintaining and troubleshooting pyrotechnic equipment, conducting tests/rehearsals, ensuring regulatory compliance, responding to emergencies, and assisting with site cleanup. Training and certifications are provided; position is part-time and seasonal with event-based scheduling, primarily weekends May through November. Must be at least 18, be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs), and work in outdoor environments as part of a collaborative team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- No prior experience required
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Physical fitness and ability to frequently lift heavy objects (50 lbs)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Availability to work on weekends May-November (seasonal)
- Willingness to learn pyrotechnics and receive training
- Must be able to pass training and certifications related to pyrotechnics and safety
