Job Summary
Conduct financial analysis, business performance improvement, and accounting and tax compliance work alongside experienced business advisers. Support clients with growth initiatives, finance technology, and business transactions while generating insights using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools. Build trusted relationships with clients from family-owned businesses to well-known New Zealand brands across diverse industries. Commencing November 2026, this summer internship offers exposure to a wide variety of industries and meaningful client outcomes. Join the PwC Private team in Christchurch to develop commercial judgement, digital capability, and relationship-building skills within a supportive, collaborative environment focused on solving important problems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting (CA pathway preferred)
- Be in your final year of study or have recently graduated
- Intention to complete the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) qualification
- Strong academic performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn
- The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated leadership through work, sport, volunteering or extracurricular activities
