Job Summary
Manage tax and audit projects for clients with minimal supervision, focusing primarily on prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance and renewable energy engagements. Conduct thorough engagement reviews, analyze certified payroll and contractor documentation, and prepare client-facing compliance deliverables. Propose solutions for potential problem areas, research Department of Labor and IRS guidance, and supervise staff accountants while strengthening client relationships. Gather data, interpret results, and compile reports to increase team profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance
- 2-3 years of experience in public accounting
- appropriate balance of education and work experience
- strong understanding of accounting and tax rules
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a level of intellectual curiosity
- Perform work accurately and in a time efficient manner, with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload

- Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and report writing tools

- Ability to meet internal Firm deadlines (time entry, billing, etc.)
