Job Summary
Prepare internal and external orders for the coating process by setting up and monitoring coating machines. Load product into fixtures, carousels, and chambers following production routing and customer specifications, while visually inspecting loads and maintaining process control. Prepare the coating chamber, input coating programs, and inspect finished product to verify quality. Post all operations into SAP, sign off on task completion, and maintain workstation cleanliness. Perform preventative maintenance and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions such as S.O.P.'s, work instructions, technical documents, and manufacturing prints.
- Ability to perform written communication
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use basic hand tools.
- Ability to calculate appropriate machine settings and adjust accordingly.
- Ability to operate Windows NT format to program machines.
- Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detail-oriented.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g. drills, end mills, etc.) preferred, or related industry is desirable.
- Previous experience with basic machine operation, metallurgy, coating processes, vacuum technology is desirable.
