Job Summary
Microsoft Purview Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, and testing data governance and compliance policies (classification, labeling, DLP), deploying and configuring Purview with Microsoft 365 services, managing roles/permissions in Purview, mitigating data protection risks, handling eDiscovery workflows, and collaborating with IT/security teams to enforce governance best practices. Requires in-depth Purview administration experience, strong data governance and compliance knowledge, DLP and labeling expertise, Microsoft 365 proficiency, and ability to obtain a public trust clearance; role offers on-site in DC or up to 100% remote within the US.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of progressive IT experience OR an Associate's Degree with 10+ years OR 12+ years of equivalent IT experience
- US Citizenship and must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview administration.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance principles.
- Experience with data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, and sensitivity labeling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 environments and related services like Microsoft Entra ID.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell is a plus.
- Experience with risk assessments and audits.
- Ability to develop and implement security and compliance policies.

- On-site requirement in Washington, DC or fully remote within the United States
