Job Summary
Manage qualifications, marketing proposals, and interview prep by collaborating with internal teams and external customers to respond to LOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and SOQs. Lead proposal milestones, schedule meetings, and independently manage the development process to ensure compliance with RFP requirements and timely delivery. Draft non-technical sections, edit documents, and organize client intelligence into strategic concepts while maintaining proposal records and executing closeout processes. Conceptualize visual design elements and support data entry into ERP and CRM databases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business Communications, or related field
- Equivalent relevant experience to Bachelor's degree
- Minimum two (2) years of proposal experience within the A/E/C industry
- Strong writing background
- Previous experience with proposal or grant writing for AEC or consulting background
- Strong working knowledge of proposal fundamentals and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative application InDesign
- Knowledge of procurement and RFP/SOQ processes
- Possess strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage tasks within established timelines and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, clarity, readability, and content consistency
- Ability to create grammatically sound, customized, technical, written content with maximized readability and a customer focus
- Ability to execute a lean, quality pursuit process and participate in strategy sessions
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of industry practices and new developments (construction process, delivery models, contract types)
- Quick learner, able to keep up in a fast-paced environment, and asks questions to develop a deep understanding of the industry and organization
- Ability to move materials that weigh up to 10 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to move materials that weigh up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis
- Manual dexterity and coordination required over 50% of the work period
- Ability to bend, reach, stand, and walk as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) foundation certification
- Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification
- Equivalent certification to APMP or CPSM
