Job Summary
Coordinate warehouse operations, ordering, and delivery tracking in Yellow Dog to ensure product and equipment needs are met for venues. Manage inventory control, bulk storage, and distribution of materials while scheduling staff, monitoring labor costs, and assigning tasks to warehouse teams. Receive, store, and distribute supplies to stands and pods prior to game day, ensuring maximum space efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations. Submit reports on damage, stock discrepancies, and vendor reconciliations, and arrange emergency shipments as needed. Work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays from February through December at Dicks Sporting Goods Park.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree Preferred
- Forklift trained
- Five years' experience in the receipt, storage or distribution of food and beverage, supplies or equipment, including at least 3 years at the supervisory level in an entertainment or convention center venue
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment
- Ability to understand written and oral direction in English and to communicate same with others
- Requires lifting of up to 50 pounds in weight (boxes), pushing, pulling, loading, bending, crouching, in Coolers and Freezers and outside in all weather
- This is an outside venue, and the season starts in February and runs till December
- Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays, especially on event dates
- The expectation of event days is you are on premises till your team completes all tasks
- Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training
- Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company's risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you
