Job Summary
Purchasing Support Lead responsible for steering a category purchasing support team (Purchasing Support and Bid Coordinators) to deliver compliant, efficient processes and data-driven performance. Drive AI-powered workflows and agents to automate repeatable tasks, oversee 100% data integrity across purchasing support processes, and collaborate with Category Purchasing leadership to translate strategy into actionable priorities. Build training programs, coach staff, manage change and adoption of new tools, and establish KPIs and reporting (including bid analysis and vendor data) using NetSuite, Tableau, and Excel. Role emphasizes leadership, process excellence, data governance, AI enablement, and cross-functional collaboration with buyers, sales teams, and leadership to elevate the department’s output.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive operational experience with a gradual increase in responsibility
- Experience leading others and holding a team accountable to results
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with NetSuite for information gathering, reporting, and data understanding
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Tableau
- Strong analytical instincts and ability to communicate findings clearly
- A genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology and applying tools to operational problems
