Job Summary
Purchasing Specialist responsible for placing orders, receiving/checking in orders, maintaining accurate inventory, and charging methods for the entire surgery center; selects surgical procedures from physician preference cards and obtains special request items when procedures are scheduled; provides backup in sterile processing/decontamination areas and instrument assembly as needed; 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with possible float to other Summit locations; duties include vendor communications, price/reference updates, inventory restocking, and ensuring correct distribution of received orders.
