Job Summary
Maintain system costs and inventory levels using Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), investigate and resolve warehouse and invoicing discrepancies, and update system pricing based on vendor price sheets. Work closely with accounting to resolve issues, analyze daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing reports, and communicate with suppliers regarding order status, lead times, and delays. Obtain quotes from vendors, provide timely updates to the Sales team on supplier communications and customer order status, and perform system cleanup of part numbers and supplier records to ensure data integrity. This role supports purchasing operations to ensure product availability and data integrity within a multi-channel distributor serving MRO and OEM end users.
Required Qualifications
- Previous purchasing or procurement experience
- Attention to detail: accurate data entry skills, basic math & reading skills
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
- Experience with high volume in distribution or manufacturing environments
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) is a plus
