Job Summary
Purchasing Planner - Rotors responsible for optimizing supplier capacity to meet business goals through strategic capacity modeling and cross-functional collaboration. Lead the creation and maintenance of purchasing capacity models for key constraints, keep ERP data current, and partner with demand planning, factory, supply, and finance teams to enable transparent cross-functional alignment. Manage supplier relationships to optimize capacity utilization, drive action plans to mitigate under/overutilized capacity, and communicate business goals and processes across the purchasing planning segment. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership in cross-functional settings, and experience with lean tools and ERP systems (SAP PMx, Baan, Oracle Zeal). 25% travel domestically and internationally; global experience and APICS certifications are highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing / supply chain
- 2+ years of experience specifically in material planning / scheduling function
- APICS certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP) - desired but not required? (note: included as recognition)
- Global experience working with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP PMx, Baan, Oracle Zeal) in a manufacturing environment
