Purchasing Planner

Purchasing Planner responsible for market outlook analysis to determine optimal purchasing timing and quantities when contracting with vendors, ordering supplies, or pursuing major investments in products or technologies. Develop and implement short- and long-term procurement strategies for commodities. Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting supplier relationships. Lead negotiations on pricing, order quantities, and delivery timelines to optimize value. Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure contracts capture all negotiated details. Assess quotes and compile detailed cost breakdowns. Generate quote comparisons and contribute to internal supplier selection. Manage end-to-end purchase requisition-to-order process, including price negotiations and documentation. Serve as primary liaison for vendors, tracking order status, resolving delivery discrepancies, and managing returns (RMA). Coordinate cross-functionally with warehouse operations to align procurement with current and projected demand. Analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process enhancements through data-driven analysis and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
