Purchasing Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
Coordinate medication and pharmacy supply procurement, managing vendor orders, verifying pricing and expiration dates, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Process receiving orders into the system, place orders, check drugs and supplies, and generate purchasing reports to ensure continuous availability for long-term care facilities. Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and distributors while adhering to pharmacy standards and policies. Perform light lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally travel as needed. Assist with department training and complete other tasks assigned by the Regional Purchasing Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Efficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) proficient
- Ability to occasionally perform light lifting (up to 25 pounds) and repetitious physical activity
- Ability to travel, as needed
- Must be able to multi-task
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred
- Frameworks experience preferred
