Job Summary
Support the Purchase Order lifecycle by assisting with initiation, tracking, and compliance to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Act as a point of contact for routine vendor and PO inquiries, resolving minor discrepancies and following up on pending approvals. Generate and maintain reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and PO status for management review. Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and internal controls, escalating issues when necessary. Assist in process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate smooth workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent field
- Equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree is also acceptable
- 2 – 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing operations, or accounting support
- Familiarity with procure-to-pay processes and basic purchasing workflows
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience working with ERP or procurement systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
- 3 days on site required
- 2 days flexible
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop or kneel; talk and hear
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
