Job Summary
Develop and execute purchasing strategies to meet business needs while analyzing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and maintain optimal stock to minimize excess or obsolete items. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and build long-term vendor relationships. Monitor procurement costs, implement cost-effective strategies, and identify areas for optimization. Identify and mitigate procurement risks, developing contingency plans for supply chain disruptions. Achieve measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or Business Administration
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment
