Job Summary

Manage and mentor the plant's purchasing team to oversee end-to-end purchase order lifecycles, ensuring accurate Material Requirements Planning signals and timely supplier confirmations. Lead high-value supplier negotiations, establish service level agreements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the ERP system to optimize delivery performance and cost structures. Serve as the escalation point for critical supply risks, developing proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard production continuity while maintaining transparent communication with cross-functional stakeholders. Interpret net requirements, resequence open orders, and manage inventory strategies including safety stock sizing and consignment arrangements. Execute multi-region logistics planning across Asia-EU-US, handling Incoterms, freight trade-offs, and customs clearance. Participate in plant leadership meetings for capital expenditure planning and annual budgeting workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent blended professional experience)
  • 5-7 years of progressive procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Advanced proficiency with modern enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Advanced proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., advanced Microsoft Excel)
  • Strong leadership presence
  • Structured negotiation capabilities
  • Deep familiarity with material planning workflows
  • Ability to interpret net requirements and exception messages
  • Ability to re-sequence open orders under shortage or capacity-constrained conditions
  • Safety stock sizing
  • ABC/XYZ segmentation
  • Reorder point/reorder quantity logic
  • Consignment stock arrangements for critical components
  • Working knowledge of Available-to-Promise/Capable-to-Promise logic
  • Experience prioritizing supply across plants or lines when suppliers impose allocation
  • Practical command of Incoterms 2020
  • Understanding of air vs. sea freight trade-offs
  • Knowledge of customs clearance timelines
  • Knowledge of multimodal/consolidated shipment routing
  • Ability to qualify and activate alternate sources quickly without compromising quality standards
  • Hands-on experience with MM/WM (or equivalent) exception-driven planning views
  • Access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Must be a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

  • ERP Materials Management modules: hands-on experience with MM/WM (or equivalent) exception-driven planning views, beyond basic transactional use
