Purchasing Manager

Job Summary
Oversee the purchasing department and manage direct and indirect spend categories including raw materials, maintenance, repairs, operations, engineering, and services. Hire and manage the team, conduct performance evaluations, and handle discipline in accordance with company policy. Collaborate with operations and leadership to identify material needs, evaluate supplier relationships based on quality and cost, and prepare purchase orders. Draft policies for contract management, resolve vendor grievances, and administer the departmental budget. Act as the company representative in supplier negotiations and coordinate surplus material disposal. Maintain purchasing systems and implement procedures for all procurement activities.

- Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement required.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
- May require travel, less than 10%.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Dynamics GP preferred but not required.
