Job Summary
Purchasing Manager overseeing purchasing controls and procedures, collaborating with global purchasing and local material planners, negotiating prices and frame agreements, managing supplier relations, and maintaining inventory/tracking in SAP. Responsible for supplier handbook and requirements, monitoring market trends and inventory levels, processing purchase orders and contracts, conducting supplier evaluations, and leading cost-savings initiatives; interfaces with IT and SAP consultants to implement best-practice solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
- 4-year College Degree
- Experience with SAP R/3 and/or S/4 Hana
- SAP Module experience: 1. S&D; 2. MM-PUR; 3. PP; 4. WM
- Excellent Negotiation skills
- MS Office proficiency
- Travel nationally and internationally if applicable
- Preferred: Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehousing; German Language skills
- Soft skills: Excellent Organizational and Communication skills
