Job Summary
Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for a fast-paced food distribution operation. Responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies to meet service levels, optimize inventory, and improve profitability; supervise buyers; coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and sales teams; manage vendor relationships and item setups; analyze data for forecasting and continuous improvement; ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies; leverage ERP systems to place orders, track data, and generate reports; monitor KPIs (service level, fill rate, turns, shrink, purchasing accuracy) and drive process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or related field
- Minimum of 4–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience
- Experience supervising buyers or purchasing staff
- Experience with ERP/purchasing systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Understanding of inventory management and demand planning
Desired Qualifications

- Minimum 4–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in food or grocery distribution
- Experience managing or supervising buyers or purchasing staff
