Job Summary
Manage the procurement of materials, supplies, and services for McGard's automotive security divisions, supervising department employees and directing purchasing activities. Develop and execute strategies to maximize operations stability, negotiate pricing and contracts, and oversee supplier relationships and evaluations. Create and administer procurement procedures, track price changes and delivery performance, and present strategy reviews to upper management. Define staffing needs, hire and train personnel, and ensure compliance with ISO and IATF regulatory requirements. Review forecasts and market conditions to advise on inventory levels while collaborating with production, finance, and quality teams. Occasional travel up to 20% may be required for vendor visits.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally
- Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Manufacturing/Industrial/Operations Management, or a closely related field
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a Purchasing or Supply Chain capacity
- Minimum two (2) years of direct experience in personnel supervision and department budgeting
- Advanced knowledge in the configuration and use of ERP/MRP software systems
- Must be aware of, comply with, and support IATF/ISO-related procedures, as applicable
- Occasional travel (up to 20%) may be required for visits to vendors and suppliers
