Job Summary
Purchasing Manager leads the organization’s procurement in an aerospace manufacturing environment, overseeing raw materials, components, tooling, outside processing, and related commodities; accountable for supplier performance, material availability, cost control, and supply chain risk mitigation. Partners with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to support production schedules and customer commitments; ensures compliance with AS9100, FAR/DFAR, and company procurement policies; leads the Purchasing team, drives supplier selection, RFQ processes, negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives; utilizes ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing activity and reporting; maintains ethical standards and supports inventory management and material planning; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive purchasing, supply chain, or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, forecasting, and supplier management processes
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with AS9100, FAR/DFAR requirements, and aerospace compliance standards preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability

- ITAR compliance required; US person status required under ITAR (citizenship, permanent residence, or protected status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
