Job Summary
Develop and negotiate sourcing agreements for specific spend categories while optimizing supply chain flow for designated categories. Source, contract, and onboard new trade partners with required insurance to meet production demands, conducting regular audits to assess quality and scheduling adherence. Travel to sites to communicate partner performance to the Director of Purchasing and facilitate value-engineering sessions. Monitor divisional cost per square foot, develop should-cost models, and validate pricing for Extra Purchase Orders. Review scopes of work and resolve issues with the Expeditor as needed. This role supports Lennar's mission of building zero-defect homes and requires a background in the residential homebuilding industry.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years sourcing and managing Supplier/Trade Partner relationships
- ideally with a National Homebuilder
- Superior analytical and communication skills
- JDE/AS400 experience
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Significant knowledge of the residential homebuilding industry
- Sound financial management knowledge
- Strong project management capabilities
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills
- Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies weighing 25 pounds or less
- Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment
