Job Summary
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing, negotiating, and executing division sourcing agreements for specific spend categories. Responsibilities include ensuring top-quality trade partners, conducting trade partner audits, sourcing and onboarding trade partners, implementing material sourcing strategies, facilitating value-engineering sessions, and developing should-cost models for cost estimation and optimization. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience managing Supplier/Trade Partner relationships, ideally in the homebuilding industry, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years sourcing and managing Supplier/Trade Partner relationships, ideally with a National Homebuilder
- Superior analytical and communication skills required
Desired Qualifications
- JDE/AS400 experience
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Significant knowledge of the residential homebuilding industry
- Sound financial management knowledge
- Strong project management capabilities
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills
