Job Summary
Purchasing Manager responsible for safeguarding financial integrity, ensuring departments have adequate supplies, maintaining relationships with partners, and monitoring stock levels while sourcing new products to improve operations and reduce costs. Key duties include complying with policies, negotiating best prices and quality, coordinating with the Chef on market lists and offers, ensuring fair and ethical bidding, keeping stock aligned with operational needs, documenting deliveries/issues, maintaining inter-departmental communication, supervising purchasing staff, handling hiring and evaluations, and supporting finance as needed. Strong cost analysis, vendor management, and procurement software/Excel/Word proficiency are required, with fluency in local language and English; additional language skills beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years as hotel purchasing manager
- 5+ years in diverse hotel purchasing roles
- 4+ years in purchasing managerial role
- Local language – excellent oral and written skills
- English – excellent oral and written skills
- Additional language - beneficial
