Job Summary
Purchasing Manager responsible for bidding, managing and negotiating all contracts for home renovations, developing detailed scopes of work and budgets, recruiting and supervising contractors/subcontractors, and sourcing products to reduce costs while improving quality and aesthetics. Remote role with nationwide expansion; requires experience with purchasing for a large home builder/remodeler, ability to manage contracts, track project budgets, and build vendor relationships. Strong emphasis on negotiating cost, developing scopes, and partnering with senior management on spec levels; expects 5+ years of purchasing experience and a Bachelor’s degree. Desirable language skill: some Spanish. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 5+ years of purchasing experience with a major home builder and remodeling company
- excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Spanish (nice to have)
