Job Summary
Oversee procurement and materials management functions to ensure consistent, cost-effective supply of materials supporting production schedules. Develop purchasing strategies, cost reduction programs, and logistics initiatives while negotiating terms with suppliers and freight companies. Manage supplier programs, verify key vendors, and implement policies to minimize risk and optimize inventory levels. Lead cross-functional teams on continual improvement projects, establish KPIs, and drive innovation in sourcing strategies. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align procurement with demand planning. Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements while maintaining ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of five years of purchasing experience
- Ability to manage sourcing process and reducing cost of material
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication (oral & written) skills
- Knowledge of MFG Pro (QAD) or similar software
