Job Summary
Develop and execute purchasing strategies to drive cost savings while serving as the primary liaison for vendor negotiations and pricing compliance. Manage inventory levels and stocking strategies within the Infor SXe ERP system, optimizing automated replenishment processes and building health reports to prevent dead stock. Track supplier performance, identify supply chain risks, and develop contingency plans alongside demand and purchasing forecasts to guide planning decisions. Lead and mentor the Purchasing team, leveraging vendor portals and staying current on ERP upgrades, while collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Service, Warehouse, and Sales to support company growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in a distribution environment
- Hands-on expertise with Infor SXe (or a similar ERP system)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with inventory management, budget planning, and demand forecasting
Desired Qualifications
- Distribution/manufacturing experience and familiarity with electrical products are a plus
