Job Summary

Events Purchasing Manager responsible for executing purchasing operations and on-site procurement at large-scale events. Collaborates with culinary, logistics, and event execution teams to purchase food, beverages, equipment, and event-related materials from approved vendors, manage POs, vendor communications, receiving/warehousing, storage and transport of goods, and to troubleshoot shortages or delays. Requires ERP/PO proficiency, strong vendor management, adherence to food safety standards, driving capability with a valid license, and travel up to 60% globally. Bachelor’s degree preferred; prior event experience and ability to work flexible hours are required. Passport required and role involves in-person event support across multiple US locations (NYC, Chicago, LA, and surrounding areas).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Prior event experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and proper handling procedures
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport required
  • Hands-on experience creating Purchase Orders (POs) and navigating an ERP platform or equivalent procurement software
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time (globally, as needed) to provide hands-on support at various event locations
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs
