Job Summary
Purchasing Director for North America responsible for leading end-to-end strategic sourcing and supplier-management across all commodities for Magna Exteriors. Develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage Purchasing Managers, establish procurement performance frameworks, own budgeting and cost planning, and drive sustainable cost reductions through negotiation and supplier rationalization. Build a globally leveraged supplier base, foster cross-functional collaboration, and position Procurement as a key business partner. Requires a graduate degree and several years of strategic-sourcing experience in manufacturing, with strong English, ERP/SAP proficiency, and leadership capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Purchasing, or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
- Business-fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Strong financial acumen with advanced data analytics capabilities
- High proficiency with MS Office, SAP or comparable ERP systems
- Established professional network within the automotive industry (OEMs and Tier suppliers) preferred
- Solid project management experience
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to build high-performing teams
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- In-depth knowledge of international contract law
