Purchasing Coordinator

Place purchase orders for assigned components, parts, and raw materials while monitoring deliveries to ensure materials arrive on schedule. Maintain inventory levels within established targets by tracking inventory turns, identifying shortages or excess, and performing quarterly cycle counts. Investigate inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and assist with corrective actions, ensuring materials are available for production requirements and new product launches. Control freight costs by identifying opportunities to reduce premium charges and research alternative uses for obsolete parts. Complete required documentation, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-train within the department as needed. This role supports manufacturing schedules and quality certification requirements while working closely with purchasing, production, and supplier teams.
