Job Summary
Purchasing Coordinator responsible for supporting the Purchasing Agent across purchasing, receiving, shipping, inventory, and quality control of product check-ins; assist with project management purchasing and occasional facilities and accounting projects. Key duties include setting up new vendors, generating purchase requisitions and purchase orders, obtaining material/equipment quotes and lead times, coordinating with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice/PO discrepancies, sending contract agreements to subcontractors (including lien waivers), coordinating shipping/receiving, tracking order lead times, and reconciling purchasing credit card charges; requires collaboration with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and accurate procurement records.
Required Qualifications
- One to three years + of direct purchasing experience preferred.
- Associate Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Experience working in an engineering or professional consulting environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with common office equipment and Microsoft Office software required.
- Quick learner with custom software.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
