Job Summary
Process purchase orders, receive paperwork, and ensure invoice accuracy for food and nonfood distribution. Maintain product levels in assigned pick slots by performing daily date checks, pulling outdated items, and conducting quality inspections on perishables. Communicate daily with the Distribution and Purchasing Manager regarding perishable issues, while managing full inventory and cycle counts. Prepare reports on inventory balance, price lists, and shortages, and recommend surveys for depleted or defective items. Assist with uniform distribution and other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Basic computer skills i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of foodservice and food safety regulations
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory and software systems
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Must be highly organized and pay attention to detail
- Must be neat and clean in appearance
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and MVR check
- Ability move/lift up to 50lbs unassisted up and down a ramp
- Must be able to stand, climb, bend and stoop for extended periods of activity
- Regular exposure to weather conditions
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Operation of company motor vehicles
- Ability to multitask and work under stressful conditions and tolerate a reasonable amount of stress
- Ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive situations using tactful, appropriate, and effective communication
