Job Summary
Oversee purchasing activities for direct or indirect materials and services across multiple manufacturing sites, driving cost efficiency and ensuring timely delivery. Key duties include analyzing demand and usage for stocking levels, issuing purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance, and resolving issues related to pricing, quality, and delivery. Collaborate with internal teams to qualify materials and services, identify slow-moving inventory, and implement cost-savings and process-improvement initiatives. Maintain procurement standards and records, provide backup support for other agents, and participate in special projects and supplier-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a business-related field required
- Prior experience in procurement or supply chain strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel)
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
