Job Summary
Maintain accurate hard costs and pricing for assigned categories while establishing effective sourcing and category management programs. Manage scopes of work with internal teams and trade partners to drive efficiency, oversee the full bid process, and negotiate contracts to secure optimal pricing. Address warranty issues, coordinate with the National Category Management Team, and support plan updates through new floor plan and lot-specific walks. Report category pricing and bid results to regional and national teams with recommendations for approval. This role requires 2+ years in residential construction or purchasing, strong negotiation and math skills, and proficiency in MS Excel and JD Edwards.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years in residential construction operations or purchasing
- Excellent negotiation skills with demonstrated success in this area
- Track record of building great partnerships with vendors and internal team members
- Strong math and MS Excel computer skills
- exposure to JD Edwards
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related equivalent experience
