Purchasing Agent

Manage inventory, sales inquiries, purchase orders, and vendor supply chain relationships for assigned product lines to optimize supply chain metrics and enhance performance. Support purchasing category strategies, participate in vendor selection meetings, and negotiate stock pricing special buys and incentive deals. Handle returns, dead stock prevention, and special customer inventory while collaborating with Operations, Warehouse, and Pricing teams to ensure correct system costs. Monitor commodity purchases of copper, steel, and aluminum against stock market trends and drive value through improved efficiency. Work with vendor and sales/marketing teams to turn inventory and support year-end rebates. Requires 1-2 years in purchasing or supply chain roles with strong communication skills.
