Job Summary
Oversee perishable food commodities by ensuring adequate inventory levels, managing product freshness, and meeting margin targets through specific contracts. Procure quantities under established agreements while engaging with suppliers to reduce costs and address quality concerns or credits promptly. Manage ERP costing functions and communicate with warehouse, customer service, and shipping departments regarding shortages, returns, and transfers. Confirm weekly purchases to meet pricing requirements and coordinate with the precut and transportation departments for production needs. Address inquiries from sales associates and collaborate with Quality Control and Inventory teams to maintain sellable product availability. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, 2-3 years of experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the Supply Chain or Logistics
- Experienced in purchasing full truckload quantities of perishable products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Capable of data manipulation, performing calculations, and Compiling information into comprehensive reports
