Job Summary
Analyze sales and purchasing data to forecast demand, identify market trends, and plan buffer stocks for series and project business. Conduct cost analyses to determine total cost of ownership and assess savings opportunities across transportation, storage, and insurance. Evaluate new sources for products, services, and contractor jobs while negotiating favorable terms with factories and suppliers. Manage material master data, coordinate new orders with factories, and follow up on open orders and deliveries. Liaise with stakeholders to resolve quality issues, short-shipment claims, and replacements. Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of procurement processes, including requisition, sourcing, negotiation, purchase orders, and supplier management
- Understanding of supply chain dynamics and how external factors can impact the availability and cost of goods and services
- Ability to build win-win relationships with factories and suppliers while protecting company's interests
- Proficiency in cost analysis to assess the total cost of ownership, considering not only the initial purchase price but also factors like transportation, storage and insurance
- Effective communication skills for conveying requirements, negotiating terms and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements
- Able to work independently and eager to take on new topics and challenges
- Proficient with SAP (B1 Hana & R3 Preferred)
