Job Summary
Operate punch presses and perform setup for mechanical or hydraulic presses to execute a wide range of sheet metal operations including blanking, drawing, embossing, bending, punching, and piercing using various dies. Check setup tightness of clamps/bolts, inspect the first piece, make operational adjustments, and instruct others on proper procedures and safety. Identify and correct faulty operation, operate presses as needed, report defective materials or unusual conditions, maintain a clean and orderly work area, follow safety regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.
