Job Summary
Operate metal stamp presses to bend and punch steel parts using custom dies, setting dies per specific instructions and quality-checking parts with measuring devices. Read blueprints, interpret gauges to ensure tolerances, and follow work instructions while rotating between work stations as production needs require. Constantly lift or move materials up to 50 lbs. This 4-day week runs 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, offering weekends off. Seats Incorporated, a WI manufacturing firm founded in 1952, focuses on metals stamping, forming, and laser cutting for custom seating products.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to rotate to different work stations as production needs require
- Proven attendance record with previous employers
- Computer literate
- Constantly lift and/or move to up 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to read gauges and other measurement tools to ensure tolerances
- Working knowledge of metal materials
- Material movement
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing Experience Strongly Preferred
- Previous machine operator experience
- Mechanically-inclined
