Pumper/Operator

Monitor gauges, flow meters, and equipment to ensure tank levels, temperatures, chemical amounts, and pressure remain at specified levels, reporting abnormalities as necessary. Turn valves and start pumps to regulate flows of gases, liquids, slurries, or powdered materials, while planning product movement through lines to processing, storage, and shipping units. Records operating data including products, quantities, stocks, gauging results, and operating times. Cleans, lubricates, and repairs pumps and vessels, connects hoses and pipelines prior to material transfer, and collects sample solutions for laboratory analysis. Requires 8+ years of experience with an 8/6 schedule featuring 10-hour days.
