Job Summary
Pump Technician role operating a service truck to pump septic tanks and dispose of non-hazardous waste, using vacuum equipment, and providing professional customer service. Responsibilities include daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, safety adherence per DOT regulations, reporting defects, completing paperwork, and responding to trouble/emergency calls while working independently. Day shift with early starts (6:00–7:00 AM) and a Friday/Saturday 10–12 hour weekend shift; comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career advancement. Requires a Class A or B CDL, possible Tanker endorsement, ability to drive manual transmission, 1+ year professional driving experience, high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, outdoor work, basic computer skills, and passing a DOT drug screen, physical, and road test.
Required Qualifications
- Class A or B CDL
- Tanker Endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to drive manual transmission (no restrictions)
- At least 1 year of professional commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy (email, internet)
- Must pass a DOT drug screen, physical exam, and road test
- Willingness to work in a drug-free environment
