Job Summary
Operate the pump truck on pre-determined routes, safely controlling the pump to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit contents into the truck. Perform and document pre-operation safety checks, refuel the vehicle, and handle basic maintenance while transporting waste to processing or disposal locations. Notify dispatchers of delays, accidents, or breakdowns and maintain logs of pickup times, mileage, and dump records. Drive both automatic and manual transmissions with a valid Driver's License, lifting up to 50 lbs, and work overtime, nights, and weekends during storm season. Must be at least 25 years old and located in the Ocala, FL area.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission
- 3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years required
- Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends during the Storm season
- Must be able to work overtime (nights and weekends) when needed
- Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be located in the Ocala, FL Area
- A valid Driver's License or similar classification to operate a pump truck is required
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to pull trailers preferred
- CDL license preferred
- Tanker Endorsement preferred
- Hazmat preferred
- Industry experience, water transfer and experience with vac trailers preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
